I had a hard time deciding what planner to use with the August kit. In the end I decided on my Saffron personal rings from the Foxy Fix. I love the contrast of the warm brown with the yellows and golds. The colors in this kit are perfect for the end of summer. Right now it’s pretty warm where I’m at and the warm yellows in the kit match the season perfectly. I’m also a sucker for anything to do with gardening so the bees and flowers in this kit make me pretty happy.

One of the first things I do when I get my kit is organize everything. I like to put all the stickers together with the sticky notes and a few other odds and ends in one of my pouches. This month’s kit came with a beautiful honeycomb gold pouch that is stunning! I love the pouches that come in the kits, they are always amazing quality.

When I saw this “More WKND PLS” dashboard I knew that would go right in front of my planner! I love the design of it and of course we all could use some more weekends, I like to decorate my front pockets with some of the cards and clips that come with the kit. Simon is usually right up in front because come on, he’s too adorable not to be!

The back side of that front dashboard has another dashboard glued to it. I like to be able to turn the page and see more beautiful artwork and quotes! It makes them a little thick, but with the Foxy Fix rings there’s plenty of room.

I usually use the pretty papers from the kit to back photos in my Foxy Fix clear dashboards. I think this was actually a dashboard I cut to fit. Having pictures of my family in my planner is so important to me. They make my plans a little bit brighter.

On the back of that clear dashboard I put another lovely picture of me and my hubby.

When I choose pictures to decorate my planner I like to go along with the season. These two of my kids eating ice cream are perfect with the warm August colors.

The other thing I like to do is add die cuts with quotes around my pictures. This quote, “Life is better when you’re laughing” was perfect next to the picture of Hadley. We saw some goats at the zoo and she just loved them! She thought they were so funny.

I also purchase the cards to use in my journal. When I saw this 4×6 card with the tea cup design I knew right away I wanted to cut it out and punch it for my planner. Now It is the perfect bookmark! The top of the teacup even sticks out the top so I can easily find my place.

I decided to use this week view a little differently this month. I usually use the right page for meal planning so I kept that, but on the left I decided to make a cleaning check list. I break my cleaning up by day so this helps me stay on track. When I finish a task I simply highlight it!

Lastly I added the daisy sticky note to the pages in-between my weeks so I have a disposable place to write notes each week! I really loved this month’s kit. The warm happy colors are perfect for the transition to fall.
