Hi Friends! Can you believe it’s already the middle of June, and half-way through the year!! WOW!! My gramma always said, “The older you get, the faster time moves”. How true lol! It’s great to meet up with you all again! Here at Cocoa Daisy, we always hope you’ll walk away from the Daisy Patch Blog with some fabulous new nugget or gem, and be excited to use it in your own planner or scrapbook! So go grab your favorite cup of coffee or tea …. and let’s have some fun together!
Are you wanting to STEP-UP your “Daily” Game? In this blog I want to share with you how I’ve made some changes and updates to my Dailies! Making them even more functional.. and yes…even more FUN!
One of the things I realized that nearly drove me batmobile-crazy, was not being able to see my Week-At-A-Glance, at the same time as I was looking at my daily. So… what does any planner guy or girl do? Why, we get creative of course lol and.. Tip-ins are the answer! I simply took the Week-At-A-Glance, folded it over, and washi taped it to an insert I had cut from scrapbook paper! You’ll also find that after each week is completed, you can fold the Week-At-A-Glance over your past 7-days, grouping them together for easier locating later!
The inside of the flap is my Week-At-A-Glance. The front facing flap can be where-ever your creative imagination wants to take you. The possibilities are endless! Meal plans, Quotes, Memories of the week, Daily Gratitude,Expenses, Orders, No spend, School activities, …..etc.
Below I’ve shared two full face view’s of my dailies! I wanted to show you how simple it is to use your dailies without a lot of design and stickers, sometimes life just moves too fast. The Cocoa Daisy planner sheets in-and-of themselves are already gorgeous and fun enough!! Here’s a tip; be sure to figure out ahead of time the top 4-5 things you want to record in your daily, so you have a focus! Ideas: Step count, Dinner, Meals, Mail, Gratitude, News headline of the day, weather, Appointments, Tasks ……..etc
For me my priorities are: Weather, Mail log (in and out), Grateful Heart, Headlining News, my Focus-3 and then a list of Bullet Tasks for the day… Your personal list can change with the season, or if you’re anything like me… weekly or monthly lol!!
Oh, ….and see the CUTER-than-Ever flaming paper clip on the top right corner of the page above?….Visit my friend Kylie’s Instagram page Paper_sweetpea to learn how you can make one too!! You can also read her latest creative blog post here…..Kylie’s blog Post
For my dailies, I also wanted to create a book marker so I can easily find where I’m at in the month. I put lots of holes in the book marker so I can place it up, down or in the middle of my planner to fit my current needs.
I made use of the back by attaching the Sticky notes that came in the kit! Don’t forget the Mauve Sticky notes can be used as a tab, by simply sticking them out over the edge of the page in your planner. You can place them on the top or side of the page, for fabulous page markers and labels!
Right after the Monthly view, and before the start of my Daily pages is the Year-At-A-Glance! I chose to use this as my Bucket list for the month of June! This is a fabulous idea from my sweet friend Kami. You can go say hello on her instagram page here…. Chipped_in_time …..As well as read her latest fun blog post here! Kami’s Blog Post
