Goodbye, October . . .

Hello, Everyone!

Thanks for joining me today! Last month I shared my setup process with you for October and the personal size ring bound kit. Today, I thought I’d share with you how October really turned out for me! Ever have big plans for your planner at the beginning of the month and then #life happens? I think I did fairly well keeping up with the fun and decorating this month, but what I really love about the Cocoa Daisy products is that they’re so beautiful all on their own it doesn’t require much work from me on those super busy days!

The first week I spent some time playing with the dashboard kit. It comes with SIX personal size dashboards and SIX A5 size dashboards. This month, I’m using a personal size ring bound planner for my #everydaycarry and a standard size traveler’s notebook for church and journaling. I couldn’t let the A5 dashboards go to waste, so I cut them down to various sizes I needed.

This first A5 dashboard I cut down left me with a personal size “this week” page marker AND a skinny bookmark for my standard TN. (YAY!)

The second dashboard I cut down was also an A5 size and I used it to make a page marker for my standard size TN as well!

I also cut the center out of another A5 dashboard for my most favorite page marker ever! I just love how this one turned out! It’s trimmed to fit a personal size ring bound planner.

I also used most of the personal size dashboards this month, too. I love that even if you don’t have time to craft much you can just punch the dashboards and stick them in your planner. I did that with a few, like this one.

I also tried something new this month and bought a Fuse tool from We R Memory Keepers. This was my first attempt at making a shaker board, and although it’s not perfect, I still love it! Everyone has to start somewhere, right?!

One of the inserts that really got me through the month were the daily pages. They keep me organized and on track for each day. Every night, I sit down in bed and just make a list of what needs to get done the next day. I don’t worry about fancy decorations, I just get all the ideas out of my head and on to the paper! On the back of the inserts I like to make detailed cleaning lists or grocery lists.

Lastly, I incorporated the Pocket Memory Keeping Collection in to my planner this month and I LOVED it! (I can’t wait to share with you what I created for November, but that’s for another day 😉 )

For October, I used the cards from the collection to write a scripture down for the week. I kept the card tucked in to my front pocket and took it out several times a day to read it. This could be done with anything you want to memorize or even just a quote that motivates you in some way.

I also used the paper from the kit to make a tag with a picture from my son’s first day of school. I added some diecuts from the main planner kit and a back to school sticker from the planner add on kit and I think it turned out really cute!

I love, LOVE, love how the memory keeping kits are 100% coordinated to the planner kits now. It makes the possibilities endless!

Thanks for following along with me this month and I’ll see you back here in November!

~Jennifer
