Reflect Through The Looking Glass / April Designers Challenge

Lewis Carroll’s Through The Looking Glass is theme of this months kit and as such, I have chosen a play on “Looking Glass” for the theme of this months designers challenge. The Looking Glass itself provides a reflection of the actual world for Alice to explore. This month’s challenge is REFLECT.

Lewis Carroll does a lot of philosophizing through Alice in the book. In many ways, this challenge can be philosophically interpreted or you can be very literal. The Looking Glass has fuzzy boundaries leaving you plenty of room for interpretation in how you would like to play out and execute this months challenge!

  • use something reflective on your project
  • reflect back upon a topic of the past in your journaling
  • your photo could capture a reflection
  • use the letters reflect as an ingredient list on your project (R=red, E=ephemera, F=flag, etc)

This challenge was interpreted three ways on this layout created using the APril 2016 scrapbook kit, the cut files available to subscribers, some of the add on papers and the Pink Paislee puffy stickers (also available as build your own add on). First, I used the word “reflect” as my title. Second, the picture is of a reflection (the 4 of us in the driver spy window) and my journaling is reflective of the old vehicle we were replacing with that one we were test driving.

“Consider anything, only don’t cry!” – Lewis Carroll, Through The Looking Glass.

You have until Wednesday, May 4, 2016 to play along. Please either add a link to your gallery here in the comment or in the topic posted on the forum. One lucky winner will win a $5 gift voucher to spend in the Daisy store.
