The Simple Dori is a new addition to all the other Dori’s Cocoa Daisy offers, except this one is well more simple! I loved how the pages were already laid out with memory keeping in mind. It makes it that much faster to document memories since you don’t have to add much to the pages. You can either slap a photo down and call it a day, or add all the die cuts and stickers your heart desires.
July’s simple dori was perfect for me and my husband’s mini trip to Clearwater beach. I also decided to unbind mine since I typically make my mini albums so chunky that the notebooks start to unhinge. For the front cover I created a days of the week banner and highlighted the days that were on our trip, Tuesday through Thursday.
The layout above is the prime example of how perfect the simple dori is. The background was already laid out so all I did was cut a rectangle from one of the 12×12 exclusive papers, paste my photo, and add a cluster of die cuts.
Ever since I saw Cheryl (@cherylreiter) ruffle up washi, I knew I had to try it! It is such a great way to add a textured element to layouts with something we’re already hoarding.
I cut rough circles with some of the 12×12 exclusive papers from June’s kit, stamped on top using the circle stamps from April.
Above is one of my favorite layouts from this mini album. I cut 1/4″ strips from the 12×12 papers and weaved them. Then I just pasted my photo and added some washi and die cuts.
Last page of my mini album was inspired by the anchor die cut, hence the title. For a full flip through of my mini album, check out my video.
Lots of love & positive vibes,
Ariana

Thank you for sharing your photo ‘Dori’. I am unfamiliar with the ruffle washi; can you please explain?
