Sometimes locking ourselves in our happy place with all our craft supplies is all we want to do. Other times, we want to include our loved ones. During my recent move cross-country I realized how much I love incorporating my loved ones into my planner life. Here are some of my personal favorite ways to include them in this very special hobby of ours!
1. Share Your Goodies
I would share some of my planner goodies with my mom every time I got stuff I knew I wouldn’t use all of or that I knew she would love. She does a little bit of planning so it’s a perfect way for us to bond. Since we are now miles away, I created a little care package for her with some Cocoa Daisy goodies. I made a little folder dashboard using the planner dashboard and 12X12 exclusive papers. I then added in some washi samples, list pad sheets, a paper clip, and pocket cards.
2. Have Them Write a Note
I never realized how much I appreciate handwriting from loved ones until the passing of my grandma this year. I cherish the cards she wrote me now. I’ve made it a point to have my other half, Edwin, to write me little notes and would also love to incorporate my mom and sisters handwriting into my planner. It’s these little touches that add personality to our planners. I used a list pad sheet from a past kit and punched holes into it to fit into my personal size planner.
3. Memory Keep in Your Planner
Addinb photos of your loved ones is such a great way to cheer you up when you flip through your planner. You can goal out and create a scrapbook page or just paper clip in a photo. Remember, this is your planner- do what makes you happy!
4. Plan With Your Loved Ones
I usually like to plan on my own but I definitely cherish the moments that my husband looks at all he Cocoa Daisy goodies in awe and wants to join in. In the photo above you can see the dashboard he created! He especially loved September’s kit with all the moons, his astrology sign is Cancer. He also usually loves watching me unbox the Cocoa Daisy goodies every month too, maybe I should treat him to some?
What are some other ways you can include your loved ones in your hobby? Share them with us and be sure to tag Cocoa Daisy so we can see.
Until next time,
Ariana
