New Year Setup!

Hello sweet Daisies! How are you all? I hope you’re having a wonderful end to 2018. How is that possible? I can’t believe it’s almost time for a New Year!

I’m here to share with you my setup for January. It is so surreal to think about setting up a planner for 2019! Thankfully, Cocoa Daisy’s January kit makes setting it up a breeze and a delight- just like every month! So let’s jump right in!

Here’s my planner – a personal size Foxy. If y’all have seen my posts over the last year, you’d know I’ve switched back and forth between personal and a6 rings. But after several switches and jumps and false starts, I’m back in my personal rings, and in personal rings I’ll stay. This is what I’ve used for years (before even discovering the planner community), and it’s familiar. It’s functional. It’s home. So as much fun as it is to try out new sizes and switch things up, I know that for me to plan effectively, I need my personal size!

You’re actually seeing my pre-setup setup here. 🙂 There are a couple more things I want to add to my planner over Christmas break – one of them being a dashboard like my friend and Cocoa Daisy Team Member Kristine makes, and another being a shaker dashboard like my other friend and team member  Cheryl makes. (We have some seriously creative and amazing team members here! I’m so thankful for their inspiration!) Those will go right here in front, but in the meantime, I picked the most gorgeous paper from the January kit to go in this first divider. How amazing are these colors?! I say it every single time – it’s like they’re glowing. And of course Simon is hanging out in the front pocket 🙂

Behind my inbox tab is a fold out dashboard. I keep the Cocoa Daisy sticky notes on there as always for info that needs to go right in the front of my planner. It’s so handy and has been so functional since I started this system.

I recently switched around the order of my sections. I used to always have my calendar immediately after my inbox. But since I stuff my rings so full, it made it hard to write in my calendar section, so I moved it to the middle of my planner. So now, the section immediately behind my inbox is my notes.

Right after that is my social media section. I use the Cocoa Daisy inserts to track my information for Cocoa Daisy and other social media content.

I’ll take the date sticker sheet and put in the dates (creating a week on 2 page layout) and write down how I want to plan out my social media content for the month, including the Cocoa Daisy Planner Challenge.

After that, we finally have my calendar section! This holds my monthly overview, as well as my weekly, daily, and preplanning layouts. This is also where I used the “January 2nd” Dashboard – it just seemed totally appropriate for the calendar section! Haha

I also put a clear dashboard at the beginning of this section and stuck some pocket memory keeping cards in there – that way I can see them every time I open to my calendar!

Right before my daily section, I put in this clear pocket dashboard that Cocoa Daisy Team Member Jennifer sent to me. I absolutely love it because I can see stuff on both sides and put some cute little color at the top. You can find her tutorial on how to do this here!

After my calendar section is my family section – space for dr appointments, important info, etc. This section is a major section and what prompted me to start using a more specific planner years ago, with sections dedicated to exactly what info I needed to have with me at all times.

After that I have a little school section. I keep things like book lists, a fold out map, a running list of needed supplies, etc in this section. It’s handy to have an eye of what we need and what we are doing on hand, and it’s unreal how many times we pull out that map to look at it!

My last section in my planner is my home section. This is where I have inserts that organize cleaning and projects around the house, as well as a running list of projects we want to do (big and small) and things we need (also big and small!)

That’s it Daisies! That’s my planner setup (Setup) for January! Working really hard on keeping it functional in the new year, and I love how Cocoa Daisy allows me to do that while kicking it up a ton of notches with its beautiful products.  There’s nothing like having a functional planner that’s a joy to look at every day, and I’m so thankful to Cocoa Daisy for making that a reality for me! Here’s a side shot of my planner with my Daisy pen and “Today” paper clip – I’m obsessed with both of them!

Thanks for reading along with me and taking a peek into my planner! I hope you all have a wonderful rest of December and I will talk to you all soon! Find me over on Instagram and YouTube and in Cocoa Daisy Planner Fans  on Facebook to chat some more!
