Do you have a favourite scrapbooking page or project from 2016?
It’s always fun to look back over the past year and pick a favourite. That’s what we’ve asked the team to do along with the reason why this is your favourite. So here you are. Our favourite LO’s from 2016.
Kylie .”I loved how the colours and texture all came together, plus I love the fun photos of my daughter”.
Wendy, ” I loved how I came up with this “quote”. We’ve had an interesting year with lots of change involving where we live so this sums up our year, and I love the colors and girly items.
Suzanna, ”I forgot to include this one in my Top Ten Blog Hop so I’m glad I have the opportunity to include it here. I love the cool color palate, that my daughter is having a good time with her friends and the way the scallops and the clouds mimic each other. Cocoa Daisy kits are so perfectly matched that there is little need for much else to supplement or “puff up” the kits”!
Marie, ”I think this is my favorite because I loved the Scrapbook & DITL kits of that month so much. The cards, colors and designs were so beautiful, I only have 4 cards left and the big ones. I also loved the sequins, flairs, stickers, die cuts, printables, big letters titles and the stamps from these kits”!!!!
Kellie,’‘I think that this is my favorite that I have created to tell a story in our lives. I won’t be running this crazy schedule forever, and as a matter of fact it has changed in the couple months since I documented it. I chose the circle background to symbolize how I felt like I was driving in one big circle on this day of the week, and the embellishments fit the theme so perfectly”.
Lisa, ” I made this LO using the May CD Kit. I love the colours. These are my absolute favourites and that photo makes me tingle. That moment when you are sat on a plane and you have so many adventures awaiting you. It was the start of a very special trip. It brings back very happy memories”.
Katherine, ‘‘ This is my favorite layout of 2016! I was obsessed with the paper the moment I saw it. But, its more than just the paper. It’s family, cousins and sweet friendship!”.
Moonlee, ”This is one of my favorite layouts. I made this for my brother as a gift. It was fun to mix and match different kits based on this happy color combo”.
Suz, ”This one was my favorite as it celebrated a fun overnight road trip to see Twenty One Pilots in concert. I loved the patterned papers in the kit that month -especially the one I used as my background where I cut it up along the color blocks and the used a pseudo-stitching technique (I used no thread in my sewing machine so it just looks like it’s sewn) I added dimension by folding up the edges of each background patterned paper and added layering by incorporating memorabilia, several photos and a journaling spot”.
Denise, ”I know I am not on the DT anymore but how fun to go through my gallery looking for a favorite! Cocoa Daisy does have beautiful kits. I think, think this might be my favorite, but it was tough to choose”.
Sarah, ”I think this is my fav for this year. I made it with the November2016 Sprinkles kit. I loved that there were so many options to create with and that I could do all the layering and use packaging to create a place to hide my journaling”.
So whether it’s a technique you have used, or it’s a favourite photo or a special memory, there are lots of reasons why a project becomes a favourite. Plus whilst picking a favourite it’s really fun to look back over the year. Why don’t you look back and pick a favourite of your’s. If you do, please do share with us on the blog here.
