Hello all! Suz here to share a few tips or tricks that I used while creating this card for my April gallery.
One of my favorite things to do with cut files is to place patterned papers beneath them to add dimension and drama. While I have already discussed my design tips on creating this card here, I also wanted to share my little quick fix to a mishap on my card. When I stamped the “relax” it didn’t turn out quite the way I wanted it to, so instead of throwing it all away, I stamped the image again on a piece of scrap white card stock and then sewed around it to make it look more intentional and to add focus to that part of my card’s sentiment.
While I was pursuing the April Design Team Gallery, I came up Wendy’s awesome layout and noticed that she used her potted plant die cuts in a fun and creative way by tucking the die cuts behind her photo and numbers, it appears as though they are foliage and really help repeat the theme of her layout and accent the foliage that is in the background of her photo.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have an amazing week!
