Well hello there, Sarah Bargo here! Do you find yourself hoarding the gorgeous leftover scraps from your kits?! Of course you don’t want to get rid of them, they’re too cute right?! Well I have a super fun and simple project for you to put those scraps to good use!
I absolutely LOVE giving gifts, and I especially love giving them when it’s a surprise! Such as when someone stops by, I love to have something ready (and cute!) to give them as they’re leaving! Being that it’s almost Halloween, I may or may not have an over abundance of candy in my house…. maybe… so I was thinking hmmm what could I do with this candy to give to people, other than just stick it in a treat bag? An embellished jar of course! So, I gathered up some cute leftover supplies from my glorious Cocoa Daisy kits, ran some patterned paper through my Big Shot with the Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves Die, and started tying goodies to the lid! I already had the jar lids spray painted gold with gold glitter blast spray, but you totally don’t have to do that! It’s cute without it too! 😉
Here’s what I came up with! I love that turquoise paper from the Daydream Kits with the feathers on it, the colors are gorgeous! And the opposite side is just as awesome! Also, I took a polka dot paper in the kit, die cut it into a scalloped circle, and it fit perfectly in between the lid pieces! (Thank you Cool Whip for the cute scalloped circle on your lid, totally inspired me lol!)
All I did was wrap a piece of bakers twine around the lid, then started adding some leaves, a tag, and some sequin trim! I love that it looks like a messy eclectic jumble of cuteness! You could add anything you’d like, even a DITL card would be adorable hanging off the lid!
I know I would be so excited to receive one of these babies! (So if I ever come to your house..ahem..ahem…)
I bet if you take a second to go through your scraps, you will come up some fabulous ideas! Have fun and enjoy your sweets!
xoxo Sarah
