Stamping – Oh the possibilities!!

At Dad's

Hello, It’s Lisa creating with stamps today. I’ve made this LO here using the new May kit. It’s made mostly from pieces from the DITL Kit.

I love the stamp set that comes comes with the DITL Kit.

I really enjoy using arrows on my projects, so couldn’t wait to use these.

I’d already made the LO though and then remembered the stamps. I really wanted to use one of the arrows, but I wanted to stamp in yellow but needed it to be bright enough to really stand out and not get lost. My ink pad just wasn’t good enough, so I decided to try paint.

paint

I’ve used paint before on my stamps so I knew not to use too much as you loose the detail when you stamp, so just a light brush over is enough.

And you get a really good stamped image in a good strong colour that stands out well. I was so happy that it worked so well.

Ashli used the doilee stamps on her LO this month here. I love that she stamped the images and then cut them out to stick on the page. Such a great idea. A great way to create a fun background without that worry of stamping straight on to our cardstock in case it doesn’t quite go right first time.  Great idea Ashli.

I hope you’ve enjoyed mine and Ashli’s stamp tips today. It’s always fun to try new things.

I’m off to give Ashli’s idea  ago now.
