Hi, It’s Lisa here with my December Kit leftovers.
I’ve decided to document in my Travelers Notebook today. I find scrapbooking in this smaller style ideal when using up kit scraps. It’s so handy using up the paper leftovers and whatever bits you have still lying around.
We had some UK friends flying in from their new home in Boston, USA. They had a crazy week planned over Christmas visiting family, so we met them at one of the airport hotels along with another friend as they flew in and we all had breakfast together.
This kit was perfect to document this fun get together.
I layered up some of the papers that I’d previously cut in to and used a couple of the journal cards from the pocket kit.
This glassine envelope also came from the pocket kit. I cut it down so that it was a little larger than my photo like this.
And I stuck my photo to the envelope to then work as a pocket for my journal tag.
I decorated the tag one side.
And journaled on the other.
I love how this came together and it always feels good to use up kit scraps.
I have some creations here to share with you how some of the other team members have used up their scraps.
I love the toppers that Kylie makes with her kit.
Kylie: ”I love to create layered embellishments from my kit scraps. These can be used on future projects such as layouts, in your planner, cards etc. They can all look uniquely different using the same sketch layout but with different coloured papers and patterns”.
Here’s a 12×12 page by Moon.
Moon’s tip: ”Punches are the best tools to upcycle the scraps!”.
Estelle has also created a 12×12 page and has a video to go with this too. Here’s the link.
And finally from Kelli.
Thinking outside the box today, she’s made paper aeroplanes to decorate her son’s room.
How cool!!!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing our kit scraps being used up. We hope you have been enjoying your December kit too.
