Do you have a favourite?

Firstly, Happy 2018!!!

I hope you had a good 2017. Do you go back over the previous year and look at all your projects that you created? I love doing this. It’s a really fun way to see what you documented, what you achieved and what you celebrated. From a design point of view it’s also really interesting to look back and see what were your favourite pages and why.

For me personally, this is my favourite from 2017.

I made it using the March Kit. I like it for a few reasons. Firstly, the fact that my teens are such great friends. Watching them mess around together always makes me smile. There is a genuine friendship there and there always has been. Now from a design perspective, I ended up using a patterned paper that when I opened the kit was my least favourite and I never expected to use. I ended up cutting out the huge leaf and using it as a stencil and then also using it on my page. It was a really fun page to create, one that I completely lost myself in. And crazy to think that when I opened the kit, I stuck it to the back expecting not to use it. One of the many reasons why I love my monthly kit!!

I have projects here now from the rest of the Memory Keeping Team. Each person has picked their own and explains why.

My favourite layout for this year was one created using the September kits.It was a perfect kit for my larger sized photo which was taken a few years ago. I enjoyed intermixing the different paper patterns and the mix of colour ways. The mushrooms and timber cuts were some my favourites too. I fussy cut them from the papers also.

I’ve finally narrowed it down to this layout from the November 2017 kit, I just love the splash of red with the white, the bear is just so cute, and all those pieces make my heart go pitter-patter!

This layout is my most favorite layout of 2017. I was inspired by a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches and then just let my creative juices flow. I layered different kinds of strips behind the photo and used parts of the Planner kit on the layout. I then used multiple different alpha stickers to create a long title. To see how I created the pocket for the tags watch my video:

I made this layout using the November Memory Keeping kits.
I loved the “wintery” theme of the November kit, but I also loved how easy it was to pull out some non-traditional Christmas colours for this layout. As soon as I saw the gold star confetti I just KNEW I wanted to make it the focus of a layout.
Plus, these pictures are some of my faves of my husband – I took them with my Instax camera on the first day we started actually dating!

Here is my favorite 2017 layout. I love that it feels very carefree and fun. The patterned paper from the August kit was so artsy. I just added a bag from supplies that came in the kit added some stamping and tissue paper from the packaging. The paper clip was made with the printable.

This is my favorite layout. I like so much the picture. We are not often all five of us.I am in love with this blue paper, it is so vibrant. I think that the color scheme of the picture and the paper and embellishments mesh beautifully together.

Marie created this one with her March Kit.

Celine picked this one as her favourite.

And this one is from Niru.

This is Jen’s.

Here is my favorite layout of 2017.
I made this layout featuring the scrapbooking supplies from both Cocoa Daisy and Sizzix Lifestyle.
Although it’s still a big challenge for me to use the supplies from them only, I actually had fun to have brain storms and am glad that I made it.

And finally from Kelli:

This one is my favorite because I adore those paper flowers and had a lot of fun adding the watercolor splashes. Its from the June kit.

It’s so fun looking at everyone’s favourite.

Why don’t you go back and pick a favourite of your’s?

Happy 2018….may you create many wondering things.
