Hello! We have some exciting things happening around here right now. Today I am going to share our new Memory Keepers with you that are joining the Cocoa Daisy team.
I will let them introduce themselves to you.
Hello! I am Ria de Lara. I come all the way from Manila, Philippines. I am a stay at home mom to my 20 yr old and 7 yr old. My family and I love trying out new restaurants and traveling to new places. Food and travel experiences are what I enjoy documenting in my scrapbooks and journals. I love flipping through my journals and finished projects because they bring back so many happy memories. I am also happily addicted to scrapbook supplies.

Next we have Robin Adryan.
Greetings fellow scrappers! My name is Robin and I work at a large healthcare system in Michigan. I was recruited for my position here 5 years ago, to start a new healthcare information technology (HIT) service line. I was excited about living in Michigan because I have spent many vacations in the gorgeous UP and thought I would get there more often. That isn’t the case.
I want to start the crafting part of this introduction with the most important aspect of memory keeping for me, and that is writing about our family’s experiences. Documenting life for me includes the story. I have always been a writer, since I was a little girl, and yet journaling is often the hardest part for me. When I go back and look at things I have finished, the words I wrote, the feelings, the special capture of time — stand out for me. I don’t look at my past work and think, oh that is dated or looks awful. I find I am simply delighted that I documented some of the story, and quite often, the story contains a memory I had completely forgotten about. This is a treasure to me.
My favorite things to document are my dogs, because they are so silly, sweet, and loving every single day, my family, and the outdoors. I got into memory keeping when I realized my husband and I are the only people on earth who have all the memories of our son, who is an only child, until he was 9 years old. My husband, a career US Navy Chief, and I met while we were stationed in Okinawa and our son was born overseas. Each time Rob looks at a scrapbook I know that starting this scrapbooking journey was worth all the anxiety I had trying to learn this craft while working and going to school and being Rob’s mom!
I work on special projects of the years before I started this hobby to ensure I achieve my original goal. Some are completed, others are in process and I don’t stress about that. I work on them a little here and there and eventually I finish them. Right now I am working on a non-traditional baby album, a TN about the letters we sent between the three of us during deployments, and a mini about all the places we have lived. You can see my progress on all of these projects and more on my IG account at http://www.instagram.com/documentinglife365.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions and happy scrapping!
And also Ariana Detrez
Hi! My name is Ariana Detrez also know as The Crafty Ways! I recently moved to California all the way from Florida. I am an Air Force spouse, hence the move. I kept scrapbooks here and there as a kid but got really into the memory keeping world almost three years ago. It was around the same time my grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimers. This was a huge eye-opener for me since I saw how quickly our memories can fade or get distorted. Since then I have been falling down the crafting rabbit hole and love all the things memory keeping and planning. I LOVE making mini albums. They’re easy and fast way to document the highlights. Other than that, I do a lot of memory keeping in my personal rings planner and Hobonichi. I am also a fanatic of Traveler’s Notebooks. As you can see, I like to dabble it in all. Other than that, I am an ex-high school Art Teacher turned into a freelance graphic designer. A dog mom so my furry son named Professor and married to my high school sweetheart!
