Happy International Scrapbook Day!

All day we’ll be posting tricks, tips, and ideas from both our scrapbook and planner Design Teams using our kits. We hope you’ll check back often to learn more about Cocoa Daisy’s kits from our amazing team! We’ll be throwing in a giveaway here and there, but you’ll have to check every hour because it’s going to be a surprise. ?

Katherine has quite a few ideas for you today.

Hello Daisies! I hope you are having a great NSD! I just wanted to share a few pictures with you. My first picture is using the cute polka dot tissue paper that comes with the kit every month. I tend to save everything! I have used it on several layouts, cards and other projects. Fringe is so in right now. Below I made a card and covered a letter “M” for my scrapbook room. On the card I used the cut files from the April kit…I can’t get enough of those flowers!

I love making pocket letters. This month I made my own mini envelopes to store my letter to my pocket pal. I used the exclusive paper from the DITL kit. I love the bright bold colors and patterns that arleigh designed!!! I wrapped both in doilies and put some of the April cut files on the second one. I am obsessed with those flowers!!!

My favorite thing to see bloom is my daughter. I love seeing her bloom and grow into an amazing young lady who embraces life and challenges with grace ad pose.

My favorite flowers are forget-me-nots because when I was younger I watched a cartoon that said it meant love in the language of flowers and it’s stuck with me ever since.

The cherry blossom trees that line my street. I love it when those falling petals line the street. It means summer is coming!

I love daffodils, wood anemone and marigolds. To me they are all such strong flowers and both daffodils and marigolds are so useful! Me and the kids are going to experiment some with daffodils some day, look forward to that <3

What super sweet inspiration!!! My favorite things that bloom are the Rhodies in my front yard and my beautiful cherry blossom tree that blooms for about 1 week and then it’s done for the year, lol! But for that week, it’s gorgeous!!! 🙂 Thanks for all the fun and for being a super awesome part of INSD!!!

Aside from lilacs and tulips, my favorite “bloomer” is my mentee, Miranda. A tough childhood, homelessness and drug addiction will not hold her back. Recently, we did a prep for her GED, and she was a rockstar…who hates algebra…lol. Every new skill and even ones she forgot she had builds her smile, her confidence and her determination. Her motivation to succeed is in full bloom!
