Hello!! It’s Lisa here.
I always like to document the ‘Good, bad and the ugly’. I’m also one to try and put a positive spin on things. So today’s 12×12 page that I’m sharing is a Disney experience that we didn’t really enjoy. It wasn’t quite what we expected, but now a few weeks later and we find the whole experience really funny and laugh about it lots.
Naturally I want to include this in my scrapbook album. I think it’s important to document all the experiences.
I’ve used the August kit along with some older kit pieces.
The journal cards from the pocket kit were a really good fit as we’d gone along to attend a camp fire sing along one evening.
I needed to add some extra colour to the page, so I cut 2 strips of the pink paper to add. I distressed the edges a little to add some extra texture..
I love the vellum stars too which came in the classified kit. Along with the blue sequins, they added some great extra colour.
I like to create balance on a page, so I’ve added sub titles top and bottom using the same clusters of stars and sequins. This makes my eyes happy.
So that’s my page. Embracing all experiences even when they don’t go as hoped or expected….making the most of every situation and being able to laugh at things even when they don’t seem funny at the time and then documenting the stories so they aren’t forgotten.
I feel so lucky that scrapbooking is my hobby. I do love looking back over all our family stories from over the years. Make sure you don’t just record the perfect ones. Sometimes the ‘not so perfect’ are just as memorable.
Hugs!
