How to open and use your FREE SVG files from Cocoa Daisy

Hello everyone!

Have you heard that Cocoa Daisy has FREE SVG downloads available for you in the Cocoa Daisy boutique? I designed them to co-ordinate with the February kits. Including both 12×12 backgrounds, 4×6 and 3×4 cards for pocket scrapping and pages, and some icons, images and phrases that can be cut out for page embellishments and titles!

To use your files you’ll need to import them into the Silhouette Studio software (if you are using a Cameo) and trace the image to turn them into useable cut files. You only need to do this once; you can save the traced file as a .studio file and then it will be ready to go whenever you want to get cutting in the future!

I’ve made a video to showing step by step how to trace your free Cocoa Daisy SVG files in the Studio software.

Here are some pages I made using the cut files you can now download… for FREE!

I cut the small bow background out of white cardstock and layered it over patterned paper.

This is the confetti hearts background, layered over cardstock washed with gesso. The bows across the top are cut from the large bow background, painted with a bit of watercolour and then stitched together into a garland.

I also used the cut out bows and hearts (from the large bow background and the confetti hearts background) to make embellishments for a few pages:
