Hello Daisies!  Martha here and I am excited to share my scrap/craft room with you.  We moved into our house, a super cute little 1917 cottage style home 8 years ago and this is the 3rd room I have used as my scrap space but I think I have finally found the perfect space.  Third times the charm, right?  Previously the spaces I used were upstairs and I felt like I was hiding out from the world which was both good and bad.  This space is right off of our living room so I can still feel like I am a part of what is going on, plus with it being such a visible space, it forces me to (try to) keep it clean.  I love this room because of the built-ins which provide much needed storage, it has lots of light plus it is the warmest room downstairs which is a plus because I am always cold!  My daughter even has her own little table and scrap space in my room so we can create together.

My husband built this desk for me when I first started scrapping about 7 years ago.  It has been a workhorse and gives me lots of space to work on and is easy to wipe down and clean up if I get messy.  He also made the shelves over it and the little stand to the left for all of my washi. There isn’t any closet space in this room so everything is out in the open so I have tried to take advantage of every bit of space.  All of my small embellishments are housed on my desk and are within easy reach. With me out of sight means out of mind so I have to be able to see everything.

You may be able to tell I have a thing for vintage finds and a lot of my storage was found while thrifting.  I love little vintage jell-o molds, Pyrex baking dishes and baking tins as storage.  I also cannot pass up vintage linens (I love to sew too!) and have decorated with some of them in the form of the swags on the window and the little tassels on my storage over the desk…plus I just like looking at them, the bright happy colors are so fun and inspiring!

I dare you not to be inspired by pretty dishes full of treasures!

I recently revamped these cork boards into inspiration boards.  Previously they housed outdated calendars, my daughter’s drawings and misc. school communication.  As part of a New Year purge I stripped everything off and started over.  I hopped on Pinterest for inspiration board ideas and a couple of hours later they were done.  There’s room to layer on more goodies in the future or to change things out seasonally.  I look at them as if they are over-sized LOs 🙂  The space underneath is the cabinets with my fabric which gives me space on top to house my printer, Cameo, and postal scale
