February DITL Kit Designs

Hi there everyone!

Suz here back with Alissa and Lisa and February’s DITL kit designs!

First up is Alissa showcasing her love for this month’s kit and her love of Uggs, weight loss goals achieved, and her beloved Seahawks! I really like how she mixed up the alphas from the kit to add titles and subtitles and her little bits of tiny attacher staples here and there. Also of note, Alissa took advantage of the adorable horizontal 3×4  stitched journaling cards to house her title work.

Lisa had this to say about her week:

“Working on weeks 1-2.
I love the contrast of colours in the DITL kit this month.
The pastels with a little black and hot pink.

The stitched cards are my favourite.

I combined the PL cards with the OA alpha stickers.”

I personally like how Lisa used smaller square photos on her cards to leave room for her  beautiful handwritten journaling.

This is my second DITL spread I have used from the February kit and I still have enough for at least another week! Love that each kit is packed with loads of fun cards and tags and embellishments.

Here is my week at a glance. (*To view larger, simply click on the image).

And here is the left side. I incorporated the cute exclusive Evalicious tags and October Afternoon Daily Flash alpha stickers from the kit along with some chipboard alphas from the main kit and cork “and” from the Paint Chip add-on. A little bit of stitching and some stamping using the ribbon stamp from the main kit as shown below.(*PSA: “Hello and remember” to get your mammogram scheduled if you are of age and/or at risk).

The beautiful sunrise off our back deck was the inspiration for my color palette for the week, and, as it often does, the colors of my week seemed to repeat themselves in the images I chose to capture. For the ones that didn’t quite fit, I simply converted the photos to black and white for more cohesiveness in color across my design. I used the negative/white (in this case black) space in my lower left photo to place the title of the play we enjoyed at our local children’s theatre this week.

On the right side of my layout, more stitching and a few cut up sentiments “happy” and “place” from the Pink Paislee Color Wash paper included in the main kit; Color Swatch.DITLRIGHTFEBCDSUZ

I nestled a few of the tags from the kit into the Printshop patterned paper into frames of the paper. And you may note that I still have Sat and Sun events to add to my layout. These days will be captured and documented in a weekend insert I often do using a small page protector that holds less photos. You may also note, that even though I am a momma to boys, I was completely able to fully create with this month’s kit. Adding the black patterned papers was a great complement to the pastels and made it so fun for me to create wit. Getting away with adding pink to my boys pages is always a fun scrapping adventure for me!
