Hello, it’s Lisa here today with something new and fun.
I was thinking recently how I don’t really have many photos of the everyday places that we go to. Not that I’ve scrapbooked anyway. Then it got me to thinking as a couple of Daisies had said that they rarely scrapbook about themselves. So I thought why not start a monthly challenge where we all document something about ourselves together.
We will call this ‘Here I Am’.
It could be that you make a LO each month. You could use Prokect Life pockets for this. You could also use an art journal, smash book or start a mini book that you add to each month. Whatever you choose to do you will end up with a really nice collection once we come to the end of these challenges.
Are you in?
We will start this first one with ‘Where I am’. We would love you to document where you are. Maybe your local neighbourhood, the places that you visit every day. The places that you wouldn’t usually think to photograph and document.
Anna has started us off by creating this LO with the July kit.
Anna says:
This is one of those layouts that I really loved creating – not because it’s my prettiest layout ever or because I came up with some fun and unexpected technique, but because of the memories that I am capturing. These photos are very non-spectacular… but they are photos from my everyday life! From the top left we have Alva’s school yard, then we have the walk from daycare with both my girls and finally our road and our house. In the middle is the place where we do most of our grocery shopping and the next photos is from the woods nearby, where I do my jogging. The last photo is from the center of our pretty city. I don’t really go there often, but I still wanted to include it since this is where I live.
I love how Anna views this challenge. It looks so pretty in Sweden where she lives.
Piradee chose to document her second home ‘Singapore’. I love this pretty LO. She also used the July Kit. Such a sweet design and I love the journaling around the circle.
I decided that as I wanted to include quite a few photos that I would add mine to my PL album.
We live in a very small town and we can walk everywhere from where we live. I wanted to document the everyday places that we walk to from our home. I’ve used a mixture of kits on this project. That’s something that I love about Project Life. It’s such a great way to use up stash.
I enjoy using up alphas and using the CD stamps.
I’m really pleased that I have all these places in my scrapbook now.
I hope you feel as excited about this new monthly challenge as I do.
As always, these mid month challenges are here to inspire and are just for fun. We would love you to join in with us and play along. Please upload your ‘Where I Am’ projects by 11th August 11pm EST and a winner will be picked and shown on the blog here.
Enjoy!!!
You inspire me! I’m in – now to find some time and to clear off the top of my scrappy space
This is wonderful-I love seeing a bit about where you live & the everyday places you go. I’m inspired to definitely play along-can’t wait to create my “Where I Am” L/O & share with you all!
Beautiful layouts! I love this idea, how wonderful to leave your children information about “you”! I would love to have pictures and notes about the places my parents have been, the things they enjoyed doing.
This is great! I love this idea!

I took these pictures a couple summers ago, and they were perfect for this challenge.
Great idea Lisa!
