The June scrapbooking kit, Under the Sea, is teeming with inspiration, and our guest designer for the month cast her net wide! We loved working with Victoria Calvin this month, she was recommended to us by one of our customers, and we are so happy we connected! You’ll discover lots of lovely layers and gorgeous images in Victoria’s work this month. Please make a point to comment in her Under the Sea gallery. 🙂

+ When is your most creative time? My most creative time comes very late at night when everyone in my house is asleep! I love to turn on my music, light candles, grab a cold drink and let my creativity flow.
+ How do you unwind? I like to unwind by reading a good book, listening to music, taking long hot bubble baths, going for long walks, or hanging out with my family and friends.
+ If you were in a Rock N’ Roll band, what would your job be? That is easy…I would be the “hype-woman”! I am an extrovert and get my energy from others. So getting a crowd excited to hear an awesome band would be up my right up my alley!
+ What is your guilty pleasure? Sadly, I love watching the TV show Hoarders! It’s horrible and depressing and gross but I love it! I find it fascinating that there are so many people who seemingly live their lives in such a deplorable manner. I have to remind myself that they are dealing with a very serious psychological issue. Good thing that they have support!
+ If your life was movie, what actress would play you? I would pick Chandra Wilson who plays Dr. Miranda Bailey on Grey’s Anatomy. For some reason, I’ve been told that I look a lot like her! She’s an amazing actress and I’ve been a long time fan.
+ What is your favorite accessory? Hands down…earrings! I cannot go anywhere without my earrings. I feel naked otherwise!
+ If your life were a novel, what would the title be? “I’m Not Short, I’m Fun Sized! And Other Random Musings” by Victoria Calvin (LOL)
+ What was your first job and how did you get it? For my first job I worked as a sales associate for Leeds Shoe Store in San Diego, CA. I was 15 years old and in desperate need of money (to buy clothes of course). I created a super sharp resume, walked right up to the manager of the store, shook her hand, and gave her my resume. She interviewed me on the spot and called me the next day to let me know that I got the job. I was so proud of myself!
+ Share three of your bucket list items with us. Interestingly, I do not have a bucket list. I live for random adventures and experiences!
+ What is “dressed up” for you? Dressed up for me includes a little black knee length cocktail dress, strappy high heel shoes, and diamonds – necklace, ring, earrings, and bracelet. And I can’t forget flawless makeup (red lips), nails and toes painted, and an up-do. If I’m going to get dressed up, I like to be fierce!
Thank you so much for joining us this month Victoria Marie 🙂
