Hello, Daisies! I got creative with stamping, die cuts, and paper in making these cards using the January kits. The more I do cards, I like to do at least one unique technique, adding interest…and sometimes that doesn’t mean they have to be complicated.
Layers of papers and die cuts making up this card. The interest I added to it are the stamped thread spool, the stitching, and pulling the strings from the button to stitch along the side.
In all of the cards I did, I used the stamps from the main and the Day in the Life. I used the stitching stamp near the bottom of the card, and stamped the cat on white cardstock that I fussy cut and pop dotted to the cluster of die cuts, paper, and rubons.
Same cat stamp, but I stamped on pattern paper and added more die cuts, paper, ribbon, and rubons.
I used a combination of the rubons, machine stitching, and stamping to create this mostly blue, red, white, and black card. I wanted the stamping at the bottom of the card to set the mood for it.
Do you ever notice store-bought cards? I do, and this was inspired by what I’ve seen on the shelves. Super simple, just a die cut, a ribbon, label with stamping and rubons and the metal ‘love.’ That ‘love’ and ribbon add a really classy, simple texture to this card that you will find in store-bought cards.
Hope this inspires you to use your kits and come up with beautiful cards, and not necessarily super detailed cards. Be inspired by what you see on the shelves a the stores.
Adorable cards and i LOVE that cat stamp!
Love your cards Patricia! So many great details! TFS
So clever, you are! Thank you for the inspiration……will miss you on the design team.
Well done! I envy folks who can put a card together with bits and pieces!
