2 Cute Mini Books to Inspire from our April Kits

It’s always 5’o clock somewhere, right? You know what that means … time to scrapbook of course!

Today, while we wait for May’s kits to ship I have two mini books from April’s kits ready to inspire you.  Why not gather up the scraps you have left and make a mini too?

Anna April Mini Books.

Anna is first up with this adorable mini of her two little munchkins.  I love how springy it is.  You can literally feel the air starting to warm up in these pictures.  The Elle’s Studio Happy Moments vellum from the Patterned Paper Pack makes such a fabulous cover!

Love how she used that circle stamp over and over to create her own patterned paper.  The lime green  paint splatters are the perfect finishing touch.

Every spring Austin gets overrun with tourists here for the SXSW festival.  Part week long concert and part tech convention it attracts all sorts.  Of late a ton of free kiddie concerts have sprung up and we love to go to a few.  This year we went to something almost every day that week, so I decided that a mini book would be the perfect way to put all my photos together.

The DITL kit included a pack of Pink Paislee instakit 4×4 cards that were the perfect base for my mini.  I cut days of the week strips from the Daisy Day planner kit to add my journaling for each day.

I love to add tabs to pages to add a little extra dimension to pages. I used the seam binding on a tag that holds more of my extra journaling. I punched holes and used twine to bind it.

Easy, simple and so fun.  Best of all, our spring break memories are recorded for us to enjoy together.  I hope you enjoyed this mini too.  Share your April minis with us now in the gallery!
