Hey All! Good morning and happy Thursday! Alissa here today with closer look at my summer day mini book, which is really like a medium size book, for all of you. I was really hoping I would have some of the pages completed with photos by now, but my life got crazy. I was left with little to no time to create. The great thing about this book is, I could totally wait until the end of the summer and sit down for about an hour or two with all of my photos and get this one done. Prepped mini books are my fave for fast completion once you have the photos and the memories. 🙂
I used the bag that the Day In The Life kit comes in for the front cover. A piece of chipboard or stiff card stock makes a great liner to give the cover a little stability.
The A5 planner dashboard from the planner add on kit make great medium book pages.
I structured the book, and it’s ring holes, around a 6×8 pocket page. I used several different pocket page designs to hold DITL cards and photos.
Another smaller pocket page and a planner page from the June A5 planner kit.
I randomly added tabs to the pages with patterned papers and my Tim Holtz Tiny Attatcher.
Washi, from the planner kit, is great to add color and cover up those extra holes in the planner pages.
I LOVE these cards from the June DITL kit. 🙂
Don’t forget to use your packaging. The scrapbook companies make such cute packaging that I never want to throw it away. I made a page in my book with this numbers sticker backing with that cute duck printed on it.
Even the back is cute and eclectic enough for my style and perfect for my book.
I just had to include the front of one of those planner pages with the cute swirly straw in the hydrate cup.
Another planner dashboard with some of the June printables popped up on the page.
Use the hang holes in the packaging to tie on ribbons.
Finally a 2×2 pocket page and you can see the back cover through the open pockets. I used another page of the printables as a patterned paper. So fun!
Alright. There is is in all it’s pre-made glory. I can’t wait to spend time filling it up later this summer and fall. And, I really can’t wait to see your mini/medium books filling up the gallery.
Have a great rest of your week, all!
Alissa
