Hello friends!

Today I’m introducing ME….to all of you.The amazing Cocoa Daisy community. In fact all of the amazing and creative Design Team are doing the same.It’s a great way to get to know all of us.

So ……Here’s all about me-

I’m 42 and am married to my sweetheart, Paul.Together we have two kiddos 12 and 10 as well as a very much loved, (*cough,cough and spoilt) rescued pup named Maximus. We live in the Central West of New South Wales, Australia in a very picturesque country town.I have lived here my whole life! Love it! Sometimes we get Snow here and our Summer’s are a true Aussie Summer…..Scorching hot, just the way I like it! We are surrounded by fantastic fruit growing Orchards and Wineries in some of the prettiest landscape.

I was a Hairdresser for many many years……Like 22 years. I sold my salon a little while ago and now enjoy being a stay at home Mum.We also own a large construction supply company which keeps us busy.I am SUCH a dog lover.If I could rescue every single one facing cruelty I would.(Don’t worry I like cats too….But I’m really allergic to them.) I should state animal lover in general!

**We adopted MAXIMUS and he joined our family in 2014 as a baby.Sadly he had a rough start to life but now lives like a King.

I LOVE being creative.It has become a way of life for me,- Planning and Memory Keeping. I am very fortunate to be enjoying my second year as part of the Cocoa Daisy, Memory Keeping Design Team as well as the Planner Design Team. I have been planning for as long as I can remember and scrapbooking a long time but more more seriously for the past 2 years. When I’m not being creative I love taking photos…..lots of photos, family time, long walks and gardening!

Here’s a quick question shoot out about me-

*When is your most creative time?– I’m very lucky to be able to create whilst my children are in school.

*How do you unwind?- Either a long walk or being busy in my crafty space.

*If you were in a Rock ‘N’ Roll band what would your job be?- Either the manager….Because I like to organise, or the Drummer….Everyone loves the drummer.

*What is your guilty pleasure?- Chocolate or Sherbert…….And buying planners.

*If your life was a movie, what actress would play you?- I have to say Melissa McCarthy.Purely because she is fun.I loved her in SPY.

*What’s your favorite accessory?- My wedding band.

*If your life were a novel, what would the title be?- This was hard…..I had a few…….’The life and Times of Me’…..’I’d rather be napping”……..’I’m funnier online’…….I’ll go with- ‘PAGE LOADING- I’M JUST GETTING STARTED’

*What was your first job and how did you get it?- I worked at McDonalds after school and on weekends.I applied for it by myself which was nerve wrecking as a 14 year old.My first interview!

*Name 3 things on your bucket list- To trek the Kokoda Trail, to learn pottery and to travel more.

*What is ‘dressed up’ for you?- The whole shibang….Formal attire.

This month we were asked to create a layout featuring ourselves.I’m embarassed to say I didn’t really have a good pic of just me.It was at that moment I realised just how much I am behind the camera instead of in front of it.Something I will have to change.

Anyway here is a look at my layout completed using the 12 x 12 ,November Memory Keeping kit-

I’ve used the spotty vellum as my back drop of colour to a white background.You really don’t want to see what you have attached the vellum with on your page so my tip is to use a CLEAR and fine double sided tape OR the Planner Glue stick by Prima Marketing is awesome.If you are unsure, always do a test piece.Nothing ruins your layout more than seeing the tape or glue through your vellum.

I’ve also added some handmade blooms.Never feel you are limited with what embellishments you want to use.These were made with a simple small heart punch.I folded the hearts in half and added them in a circle adhered to a circle piece of card.I have added some of the rhinestones to the centre.

I also added some stitching through my heading, even though it may not always stand out it does give a nice texture to your layout.

To finish I was going to add some things about myself,but instead I added one of my most favorite quotes.I tell this to my kids ALL the time and love it!
