Welcome, 2018!
I really can’t believe that January and 2018 is just a couple of weeks away! I’ve started my January setup in the personal size ring bound planner and wanted to share a couple of my favorite places so far!
I almost always trim down an A5 size dashboard for my front pocket, and this month Is no different! I used the large adhesive pocket from the planner add on kit on the back and my stickers have a nice home now! Of course, Simon had to be up front and center. I also immediately fell in love with this dashboard from the dashboard kit, so I punched it and added it to the front, too!
Here’s the back of the A5 dashboard!
I used to be a “this month’s kit only” type of person. Slowly, I’ve gotten more comfortable with mixing elements from past and present kits. For example, I still have my Christmas section in my planner even though this is my January setup. I’ll remove this section after Christmas is over, but for now, it’s needed (and CUTE!)
On the back of my very first dashboard I stuck down the smaller of the adhesive pockets from the planner add on kit. I placed the January calendar card from the Pocket Memory Keeping kit and some sticky notes!
One of the other things I’ve been playing around with is adding pictures and memories to my planner instead of having a separate book going. Each month I use this same little pocket dashboard, change out the background with the Cocoa Daisy paper and then add a picture of my son. On the back, I usually tuck a Simon or Betty card in for decoration.
This month, I want to do better with meal planning. These week on one page inserts always help keep me on track. I’ll put grocery lists on the back. I found the white acetate at Michael’s and I think it complements the kit nicely. I also knew as soon as I saw the utensil die cut it would have to be included! I used it with some of the old stamps to make a tab for my meals section.
I hope you enjoy what I have shared so far! Here’s to a wonderful planning year ahead! <3
