Kylie back with you all today to share some ‘Tips & Tricks’ I have used to create a layout using the February 12 x 12 Memory Keeping, the Memory Keeping Classified and Pocket Memory Keeping kits. February’s kits were all about colour, a truly lovely palette too! Here is a little look at my completed layout-
I was really excited that this months 12 x 12 Memory Keeping kit had a small bottle of paint included. I diluted mine a little with water and used it sparingly on a template for a delicate effect.I applied it with a sponge and made sure I had most of the excess paint dabbed off it onto some scrap paper. Less is often more!! –
I wasn’t fussy in my position of application, again I was only wanting a delicate effect.
Next I added some border strips top and bottom of my layout. I really don’t measure with pieces like this and prefer to go by eye when it comes to what size I would like them.
An easy way of creating a scalloped border can be using a 1 inch circle punch and cutting the circles in half.This is a technique I use quite a bit.
I also like to add extra leaves to my embellishments by using a simple punch and some neutral cardstock.In this case it was just plain white, but I really find it adds extra dimension to your project.
