June Planner Setup and DIY Pocket Tutorial

The June Planner Kit is full of happy bright yellows, beautiful florals, and whimsical bikes. It’s perfect for summer. The dashboards this month were my absolute favorite. I think I used every single one. I also decided to use my new yellow Filofax Original, it was the perfect match.

I love to use the papers from the kit to add to my Foxy Fix dashboards. It’s the perfect pop of color behind my family photos. And the “Every Summer has a Story” dashboard defines my photos just right.

The “Bucket List” dashboard was a great starting point for me to list our our summer plans. I used a sticker from the kit under the title and then added more on the back.

I added lots of fun titles to my bucket list using die cuts, tab stickers, and some word stickers from the kit. I even put Simon with his bike in the bottom corner with some washi, he looks ready to travel for summer.

Now I’m going to show you step by step how to make an easy pocket folder for your planner using the papers and washi that come in the kits.

First fold your paper in half.

Then use a dashboard from your planner to mark a line where you want to trim the paper so it fits your planner.

Next use a trimmer to get a nice straight line.

I sealed the bottom of my folder with some pretty floral washi tape.

Trim the edges.

I decided to trim my folder from the edge down so I could see my cute bits popping out.

Now seal the other edge.

Punch your folder on the long edge.

I trimmed the top edge so it was rounded and wouldn’t hit the top ring when I tried to turn the page.

That’s it! Look how cute it turned out! I added some sticky notes to the front and put some of my planner bits inside for safe keeping.

I hope you enjoyed this look into my planner and I hope you try and make a folder yourself!

Happy Planning

xoxo

So pretty. I am new to Cocoa Daisy. What size is this journal from Filofax and what size inserts would one buy? Thank you.
