Hi, Lisa here!
I’ve given myself a new daily challenge. We’ve just come back from a big vacation and we are feeling the holiday blues. This beautiful Daisy Dori was in my pile of post waiting for me when I got back, so of course I wanted to find a use for it straight away. I thought it would be fun to find a positive in every day. A bit like a gratitude journal, but I also plan to take a photo each day too.
I started by grabbing my leftover July kit pieces and some other leftovers from other kits that I thought would work well.
This kind of project goes so well with scraps. It’s really fun using up old kit pieces.
I do have the whole process video if you would like to watch here how I created each page.
I started by decorating the cover of the Dori using up my scraps.
I thought the ‘do your best to enjoy your day’ stamp was perfect for this project. I stamped it in the middle of this journal card and stuck on the inside of the cover and decorated the adjacent page.
I’ve decided as this is a daily project to simplify things as much as I can. Simplify the design, keeping it pretty similar throughout each page. And I also decided to create a few pages at one time. If I have to do this daily it will not be kept up.
I’ve left spaces for the photos and spaces for the journaling.
And I’m using the doodled stamp box for the date on each page.
I really hope that I keep this project up. I’m excited to see how it is at the end of the month.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and I hope you enjoy the video too.
Remember to try and find the positive in every day no matter how small they may be!!
