Daily Memory Planning

Hi there!  August is almost complete and I am here to share my August Standard Dori that contains memory keeping and planning for a daily memory planner notebook.

Let’s start with the cover!  I have declared Simon my official cover for August and months to come.  He is so darn cute.  For this notebook, I removed the cover and layered pattern paper and a week on one page planner page to create a vivid background for Simon to grace the cover.

Inside the cover, I created a pattern with diagonal stripes of the August washi tape.  Each month the kits contain the best washi tape and I can never use enough throughout my pages.

This month I wanted to try a daily planner style.  I used a variation of flag, circle and hexagon number stickers along with washi to date each page inside the dori.  Because I had deconstructed the dori to create the cover, I also added some blank pages before sewing it back together in a notebook form.

My favorite page for the month uses my favorite stickers – arrows, hearts and the circle icon stickers.  I used these to tell the story of the day as it flowed from morning, afternoon and into evening (which I noted using the stamp from the kit this month!)

The right side was one of the extra pages I added in and because it was blank, I added a few bits of washi and a photo booth strip of me and my husband.

Thanks for joining me this month and I hope you enjoyed my take on daily memory planning.  Below is a video walking through the foundation pages I created at the start of the month.  Enjoy!
