Hello! Daisies! Moon here today to share some ideas of making the unique background and embellishments with the scraps.
First, let’s make the background. I’m so in love with all the hexagons of July memory keeping and pocket kits, especially the fold foil vellum paper.
What I did is to pull all hexagons together, such as the chipboard stickers, vellum papers, and the clear stamps.
They repeats the same shape but in different textures.
Being honest with you, I haven’t make project life or pocket pages for a while.
However, I used those pocket cards as layering.
They are so perfect with 4*6 or 3*4 photos.
All you have to do is to glue the photo on it.
Now let’s move to next part, making your own embellishments.
Here is the 2.5″*4.5 flag using the scraps and the wood veneer from some old kits with my new dies.
Turning the old stuff to new things always works wonder!
Of course, you could adjust the size according to your layouts.
Here is my little video of how I made this layout and some close-ups.
Hope you all get some ideas to make your own background and embellishments for your layouts.
Also, please share what you make with us on Cocoa Daisy Facebook group!
