December Daily Set-Up with The Crafty Ways

Hi crafty ones! Can you believe it’s already December?! This year has flown by, but a perfect way to end the year is December Daily. I first did December Daily, DD, two years ago and I have been loving it since. However, if we’re 100% honest I didn’t even touch my DD album last year so I knew I had to take on a different format. I saw The Happy Planner Keepsake and thought how perfect! It’s tiny enough to keep up with and large enough to fit Polaroid photos along with journaling.

Here is the cover. It was just the gold polka dots but I added the Good Vibes Only sticker that I found in my stash and the little Santa button from the Christmas bonus kit. I also gutted the whole planner and added larger rings. It was probably unnecessary to buy the keepsake when I could have easily made it.

Here is my opening page. This pocket card is from last years Cocoa Daisy kit. The wood veneers are from my stash. The adorable red star paperclip is from the Christmas bonus kit. I absolutely love the intro page and am so glad I stashed this card away for a year!

Look how chunky my album is! And I haven’t even added photos. I love when an album or planner looks like this!

Using the list pad, I cut it to fit to its cuts it off at 8 which then makes the title inaccurate. However, it was such an easy fix, just added some Washi tape. You can even add a sticker or die cut to cover up the 10 if you decide to cut your list pad.

I sectioned my keepsake into three different sections. This is my first dashboard which I labeled “Hello December”. This holds various papers for quick journaling, notes, lists, etc.

My second dashboard is labeled “Photo a Day”. This is where I’ll be adding my Polaroid photos, I plan on taking a photo a day!

I used my Silhouette to cut the numbers 1-31 for each day of December. I used pocket cards, dashboard, 12×12 papers, papers from the Christmas add-on, really any papers! Some of the cards I left without a backing so that the photo can show through. Some I added additional paper to contrast with the number paper. Key tip, if you want to replicate this make sure you are leaving enough clearance to punch the sides of the paper so it doesn’t interfere with the number.

I created a tag to pop up form the page where Christmas Eve is just so I can quickly get to that part of the keepsake. I also added this Merry Christmas tag for the 25th.

Here is my last dashboard which is using another pocket card from last years kit. This section is where my planning and journaling will go.

I cut out plain white cardstock to fit into the keepsake. I then stamped in the middle using snowflakes and stars to separate the days. I used the number stickers from the main planner kit and days of the week stamp from a previous kit.

On the back, I added these adorable sticky notes for quick notes to myself. If I don’t use them, at least they look cute there!
