Hi! Odessa here with some Sunday inspiration for you. Today I’m going to give you a peek into my Traveler’s Notebook and talk about how I’m using them this year.
I really like Traveler’s Notebooks. I am normally a pocket scrapbooker so it’s very different for me to work on larger pages. The smaller size is a little less intimidating than a 12×12 full page layout thought and it feels more informal so I find it more open to experimenting and less about worrying about the final results.
One of my favourite things about using my notebook is that it coordinates with all the other kits so I can mix them up! I used a paper from the Simon & Betty planner kit as the basis for this page along with some embellishments from both Memory Keeping Kits and the Planner Kit.
As you can see, Ive taken my notebook apart and added some rings. I love chunky embellishments too much to do it any other way! I simply take out the staples, cut my notebook down the middle and punch holes in it using 2 of the 3 holes on a regular 3 hole punch. To see more about this check out the video at the bottom of this post.
Here are some more layouts in my notebook. They’re all using January photos. This year I’ve decided to go down to 6×8 albums so I’m using my Traveler’s Notebooks to include some things that might not make it into my albums or to play around with new techniques or supplies. This page was done using the sketch that came with the info sheets in the TN kit.
For January I’m using a mix of the Simon & Betty kits and Paper & Ink kits. This one used one of the 12×12 papers from the Paper & Ink kit with all the flowers. Ha. Our little hamster passed away this month and she’ll be missed so I wanted to get one of my favourite recent photos of her in here.
This was a simple layout with the SUPER CUTE vellum paper from the Simon & Betty planner kit. Those rainbow hearts!
On this page I incorporated the pom pom trim from one of the Simon & Betty kits. I glued it between two pages to hide the base and just have the pom poms peeking out. On the other side I punched holes in one of the 4×6 journal cards from the Memory Keeping Pocket kit and slid it into my notebook.
I kept the layout simple with cute embellishments, stamping and alpha stickers. All my favourite things!
If you want to see more of my notebook pages and see what I’ve been up to in the kits as well as a bit more about how I put my notebooks together you can check out the video I made to go along with this blog post:
The rings make it soooo much easier to use all the embellishments! I hope you enjoyed this peek into my notebooks.
