I cannot believe it’s the end of another month, but I also love this time because it means looking back at all the wonderful work from our guest designer! For February our guest designer was Emmalynne Barber and I have a lot of fantastic ideas and photos to share with you! First, here’s an introduction from Emmalynne:
Writing an introduction post about myself is more intimidating than I initially thought it should be! I’m Emmalynne, nice to meet you! I’m excited to get to know more of you this month as we journey along with Simon and Betty. I currently reside in the snowy desert of Utah, but the beginning of my life was in Georgia, and in between here and there I have lived in San Francisco, Colorado Springs, Oklahoma, and Kansas. I have been married to my husband for 13 years and we have two lovely dogs – A Maltipoo, Sir Reginald (Reggie) and a chaotic Bichon, Lady Fiona (Fifi).
Planning has always been a part of me. I used to keep lists (very detailed) for menial tasks starting when I was around 6 years old. In middle school I received my first official planner that already had the dates pre-written and even had boxes for the days! I was in love. Ever since then I have always had at minimum of 2-3 planners on me (there was a time there were more), but I have never gone back to the non-planner life.
I have a love for all things sparkly, shiny, and stationary. Shopping during school supply season is my favorite of all time. I have a collection of writing utensils that could rival the supply house of Amazon, that being said – I have (had, I did end up selling most of them) every PenGem pen, and that’s how I found Cocoa Daisy. I am so, so very glad that I did! Cocoa Daisy has become my favorite *everything*.
I always tried scrapbooking but could never make it work, until I found Cocoa Daisy. Now I love the simplicity of being able to keep memories for the month and having everything I need right at my fingertips! I use the Standard Dori for my memory keeping, and currently playing with using the Simple Dori for this instead – there are things I love about both so it’s tricky! For planning I use a Hobonichi Cousin A5 and I tend to use most, if not all, of my Dori Planner Kit, Classified, and Add On Kit in my planning.
Now that you’ve heard from Emmalynne, I’d like to share my favorite creations from her. First up, is this shaker dash she made. I am in awe of her use of the love stickers!
I also love that the Cocoa Daisy products are so versatile. Emmalynne shared here how she used the products in her hobonichi!
One of my very favorite things to see each month is how every chooses to decorate their dori covers. I think Emmalynne’s turned out perfect for February!
