Valentine’s Day DIY: Love Jar

Hi everyone!!  Valentine’s day is coming up and are you ready with a special gift for your loved ones?  Fear not, here is a simple DIY gift that you can prepare using the Simon and Betty Planner kits in just 30 minutes.

This project is called a Love Jar.  I looked around for a spare jar at home and decorated it with the kit’s super cute washi tape.  You can use it to hold notes, coupons, tiny trinkets,  candies … the possibilities are endless.  I decided to fill this jar with Date Ideas that my husband and I could do together.   When date day arrives, I’ll ask him to pick a tag from the jar and we’ll do whatever the tag says.  I feel that the element of surprise will keep the love and excitement between us growing strong.

For this project, I used the weekly pages of the A5 planner.  I cut them into tags and decorated them using the stickers and ephemera from the Simon and Betty planner kit.

Here’s a pic of the back portion where I jotted down the different Date Ideas that my husband and I could do.

Here’s a short video of how I made this project. Go here.

Instead of Date Ideas, you can also use the following themes for your tags:

*Things I Love About You

*Love Notes

*A Special Memory We Have Together

*Love Coupons

*Song Lyrics Dedicated To You

Hope I’ve inspired you to use your Cocoa Daisy Planner kit items to make a DIY project this Valentine’s Day!  Thank you for passing by!
