Hello everyone! Today, Moon and I are going to share some ideas about how you can use tabs and labels that usually find their way in the memory keeping kits. Moon will be sharing her work using the new Fresh Cut kit, whereas I will be featuring the ones that came from the Simon and Betty kit.
Most people actually use their tabs on dashboards or dividers in their planners. I have always used mine for memory keeping. I usually pick one of the tabs and settle it on the upper left or upper right hand corner of a picture. It works as a lovely embellishment in any layout. In here, I used one of the phrase stickers that came in the Simon and Betty kit too.
Lately, I like having embellishments stick out from the sides of my layout, as in this case where I used a tab to hang slightly out of the layout.
Labels are also awesome for embellishing pages especially since they already have adhesive and always lay flat. Sometimes I use them as a header/title as in the layout above.
You can write anything on labels. In this layout, I wrote about where and when my picture was taken.
I especially like filling it with phrase stickers.
In this layout, I used it as journaling.
This time, check out how my fellow design team member, Moon Lee, used the tabs and labels that came in the Fresh Cut kits. Here’s what she said about her work:
“Here is my first 12″x12” layout featuring the “Fresh Cut” kits. I used lots of label and tab stickers, chipboard stickers, and the enamel dots to decorate the page.”
Here’s a closer look at her layout. I absolutely love how she used the labels as part of the decor. I have to try that soon!
Hope you’ll try one of these ideas when using your tabs and labels in your memory keeping. If you have other ideas about how to use them, I’d love for you to share them in the comments section. Thank you for passing by!
