I was looking though all of my Cocoa Daisy supplies past and present and of all the things, what stood out to me most was the washi! I always look forward to each month’s washi, they always go so well with the kit and are super cute. I pulled out a few of my favourite rolls and decided to put together a Traveler’s Notebook page with them.
I used Christine’s sketch from the Fresh Cut Traveler’s Notebook as the basis, but instead of paper I used washi! The layout was made for layering all the washi. I decided to use the metallic one as a base since it was so different than the others and then a strip of a few of my favs on top. I made sure to have the day of the week the photo was taken on peeking out on the day of the week washi from the Simon & Betty kits. I then laid my photo on top and it was looking great!
I started adding embellishments and thought that the die cut circle I picked could use a little more. I added some tape runner to the back and started layering washi tape to look like a ribbon border. I just folded and placed it down, it came together super easy and really added to the die cut.
On the page it really makes the die cut pop and look a little more exciting than just placing it down and makes for a great focal embellishment.
With all the colours and patterns from the washi, this layout didn’t need much else so I added a simple die cut and some journalling to finish it off. This layout was a great way to showcase my favourite washi tapes while documenting a great memory.
