March Planner walk through

Hello Daisies! I am so excited to share with you my March Planner set up with the amazing March kit!  The artwork and vibe of this kit just really makes my spirit soar! The florals in this kit just make me long for spring. I had so much fun making dashboards this month and I hope I help give you some inspiration.

I always like to think outside the box a bit when making dashboards from the kits. This first one is actually a page out of the SimpleDori. I buy and extra dori or two each month just to have extra paper and artwork. I cut the front page down to fit my A6 rings planner, adhered one of the extra papers from the kit to the back and added one of the stickers from the Memory Keeping Sticker Kit on the label window. To dress it up I added a scalloped border that I die cut from white cardstock and added a piece of ricrac from my stash. The next thing I did that is my favorite thing is I punch out some vellum butterflies to give it some dimension and I love the subtle pop of it.

This month I went crazy using the printables.. I printed out a set on card stock and a set on really nice copy paper. One of the A5 sized card stock papers I folded in half, sent it through the laminater, trimmed and then cut the top off to make a pocket. I love making pocket dash boards and dividers for my planner!

I used a standard sized dori this month and cut it down to fit my A6 rings. You lose a little bit of artwork but if you do it right it actually turns out great! I am using the pages as a Self care section in my planner. I want to be better on top of my health and well being and I explain a bit of what I am working on in my video.

I always love making a double pocket for my planner out of the planner papers that come in the kit. This one is probably my most favorite and I think it is because of the art work. I just score and fold whichever paper I want to use, cut a diagonal and use two sided tape on the outside edges. For the front pocket I used one of the prints from the printables and cut to size for a front pocket and then sewed around the edge. I added a die cut scallop to the front with some ricrac I had in my stash to make it all pretty. I love the way it turned out.

For the first time in a long time I decided to do a monthly goal page. I used the A5 page from the printable and cut it down. I stamped the MARCH with the stamps that came in one of the kits in a light gray. I added stickers from my stash for the titles and then wrote out a few things or thoughts under each title. So far it has really helped with keeping my mind on these goals.

I also did a few dashboard hacks with the dashboards that come in the dashboard subscription. This one is by far my favorite and I go into a bit of detail how I did this in my Youtube video.

I absolutely loved the vellum that came in the planner kits this month. That gold foil center *gasp*!! The other vellum piece came in the  Classified: Planner Edition. I made pockets out of both. The paper sizes are so perfect for A6 rings! You just fold in half, run through the laminator and trim the top or side, however you want your pocket to open. shown below is the one I made that opens on the side. I added a card and flower bouquet all from the printables to add a bit of dimension.

One last fun thing I did this month was to use a technique that Wendy Antenucci used a few months ago. You print your printable and place your insert over the printable and mask what you don’t want printed and run it through the printer again. Holy Corn! I was so addicted to doing this I did several pages in my planner using this technique. I will try an find her video and link it under my YouTube video.

Speaking of my video, my YouTube channel is brand spanking new! This is my very first video…EVER! I hope you like it!

Thanks so much for reading and hope you have a great day!
