Design Ideas with Green Kit Components

Today Ria De Lara and I are showing off our kit greens in honor of St. Patrick’s Day with a project life, Simple Dori, and 6×8 pocket page designs.

First, let’s look at Ria’s design. Most of her memory keeping designs are monochromatic because the design process becomes easier and faster when you only focus on one color. Ria gathered most of the greens in the Fresh Cut kits to make this layout where she featured real life greens!

Ria created this design in her Fresh Cut Simple Dori which is themed, “self care.” She hasn’t been eating as healthily as she would like and so Ria documented this meal to inspire herself to keep making healthy choices. I love the green script lettering and all the white space that which shows off her beautiful food photo.

I created a project life layout for the first week of March using greens from the Fresh Cut planner printable, the planner dashboards, and the memory keeping kits.

I added a touch of texture and hand stitching to help the greens in my kit pieces stand out. For the printable, I opened the PDF in Adobe Photoshop and cropped out the stickers to make my gratitude card.  I saved the stickers as a PNG file and inserted into a Word document. Then I layered a text box over the stickers and typed in the gratitude quotes. I set the text box to no fill and no border. Then I printed on my color printer and fussy cut to layer them on the background card I made from a paper in the memory keeping kit.

I wanted to share this bonus design I created with the Cherish Blossom kit.  It’s a 6×8 design using the Memory Keeping Classified Kit, Pocket Kit, and a tab from the main Planner Kit.

I hope you enjoyed our focus on the kit greens and that you have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you,

Robin and Ria
