Hello everyone! Jil here with more inspiration for Travelers Notebook pages from 12X12 layouts. In our first example, Moon takes a gorgeous 12×12 page by Celine for her inspiration.
And here is her version in the Simple Dori:
Moon is using the Fresh Cut kit here so beautifully! Just as the 12X12 does, her design draws on clustered embellishments and pretty floral details along with text.
This close-up shows how this no-photo layout takes a sentiment sticker as its focal point, keeping the design and spirit of the original while creating something entirely new. And here is a 12×12 page that Celine herself took as her inspiration:
She converted this to a wonderful Travelers Notebook spread:
Here she is working with the Cherish Blossoms kit, and I love all the white space combined with the great coral pink from the kit. The arrow and cute paper airplane veneer, combined with color and style, link the two clusters and make the page cohesive. Celine does an amazing job of showing how embellishment clusters on 12X12 pages can work on a smaller scale on notebook pages.
This detail shot shows how the Cocoa Daisy stamps are layered into the cluster so beautifully! Finally, here is my own 12X12 layout, which I chose for its grid design and lots of small embellishments:
My Traveler’s Notebook adaptation, drawing on the Cherish Blossoms kits, also emphasizes a grid and lots of detail:
I love being able to add paper from the kits, the 3X4 cards, and embellishments and washi tape from the Classified: Memory Keeping Kit and trust that it will all coordinate.
This detail shot shows how to build a title from the script foam words and the coral alphabet from the Memory Keeping kit. The pot of flowers is made from three layered die cuts and it reinforces my subject, a bouquet of flowers from a friend. I hope these translations have given you some great ideas for taking inspiration from your favorite 12X12 pages and using the Travelers Notebook kit to bring them to life in a new way!
Love all the unique translations DT! ???
