How to make Washi Roses.

Hello Daisies! It’s Kylie back with you today and I am SUPER excited to share with you all how to make Washi Tape Roses.Since I first shared these a few weeks ago via my Instagram, I’ve had heaps of requests to share a tutorial.I used to make these from ribbon all the time, so it got me thinking, ‘why not make them from washi tape’ ? The washi tape from the June ‘Lemon Grove’ kits has been perfect for creating some really pretty pieces! I’ve also used some washi tape from a past kit that suited the colour theme well.

Here is a checklist of supplies you will need to create some roses.

* Washi Tape.

*Heat proof mat or baking paper.

*Hot glue gun + glue sticks.

*Scissors.

*Thin paint brush or skewer.

*Circle punch. (1.5″or 1″)

*Scrap card stock.

A handy tip to remember once you start creating washi roses is you will never make two roses to look alike.Each piece will be unique! You may find it a little tricky to begin with but with practice you will master these in no time at all! I also find them quite addictive to make once I get going.

This month I created a few to add to my opening planner divider in different sizes. You can create different sized roses by the amount of washi you use.It’s pretty simple- The more you use the larger the rose.I also punched some leaves to add in behind.

I also added one to a paperclip.

I also made a HEAP of planner cards and page marks. Here is my tutorial for you to watch.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I make these. I’m really excited for you to start making your very own!

Until next time,

Kylie.
