Sunshine & Flowers | Farmers Market.

Hello Sweet Daisies!

It’s Kylie with you all today and together with Robin we have some fun projects to share with you. We had an assignment topic to create with a Sunshine & Flowers theme. Um hello….most favourite theme ever! We have both created a different styled project using the August Farmers Market kits. There wasn’t a whole lot of flowers in this months kit but Cocoa Daisy is pure sunshine so we have had lots of fun.

First up is Robin who writes –

I created this layout for my “This is Me” album where I record special quotes, photos, thoughts, feelings, fears and hopes. I used a paper from the planner kit cut in half for a double-sided design and trimmed a tiny bit to fit in 6×8 page protectors. Next I chose papers from the memory keeping kits to create my daisies and plain white and brown for the flower centers and the “sun flower.” Die cuts that went with my thoughts about this old girl were chosen as well as stickers from the MK sticker kit. Two Silhouette cut files were also used, #39579 and #291326. I finished it off with some hand stitching and my journaling using Remington Noiseless font. Not my usual font but love how it goes with the text on the die cuts. I liked the idea of using a partial grid on the photo and journaling side and chose to hand stitch a flower on the lower left grid space.

This Daisy paper was a fave of mine and it is so perfect for Robin’s layout. The stitching included with the little jug and flowers is so darn cute!

I am always enviable of Robin’s journalling skills. Besides being a wonderful story teller she somehow always manages to perfectly fit her writings into an area without any left over space. It produces such a neat and tidy effect.

This month I converted my TN into a good old fashioned recipe book. I kept to the floral theme by using the page with the same print as Robin’s- The cute little Daisies.I’ve added a cut file  (which was designed by The Cut Shoppe) and backed it with some of the stripey paper.

Using a flower punch from my craft stash I created some cute little blooms and leaves from the exclusive papers. They framed my pages nicely! I have added some of the adhesive pearls that were included in the Classified Memory Keeping kit.

I added some free hand borders to my pages with a fine tip black pen.It seems to balance everything nicely. As I am not a fan of my handwriting I have been typing and printing out our favourite recipes that I adhere into my TN.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you have enjoyed seeing our projects today!
