Hello everyone! Jil and Odessa here with some inspiration for using the wonderful puffy alphabet stickers in the kits on 3×4 cards. The Book Club pocket-page kit comes with a script alpha, and on a card on her spread, Odessa has beautifully linked the letters to spell “always.”
The deep plum color of the letters works perfectly with her spread as a whole, and look at the sweet way she wrapped the washi tape from the kits around the corners of the card in the upper left! The script word offers such a great contrast to the bold typography on her other cards.
In this close-up, you can see how the die cuts and stamping that surround the puffy alpha word add a variety of textures and dimension. And I love the coffee rings card as a background!
The use of labels and tabs on the page is also eye-catching, while the wood veneer strawberry sticker (from the Classified kit: memory keeping edition) adds even more dimension and interest.
My page uses the same kit but different cards and color scheme. The plum of the puffy alphabet looks more maroon here, and I’ve used the alpha in a triangle across the spread, starting with the month in the upper left.
In this detail shot, you can see that my approach, like Odessa’s, is to surround the puffy alpha with die cuts, stamping, and various embellishments, again to complement the dimension of the words.
One of my uses of the alpha is directly on a photo (of my corgi, Hazel). The letters would have disappeared into the background but for one of the cute labels in the kit, which provided me with a neat little home for my “xo.”
We hope this glimpse into our pocket page albums gives you some ideas about how to use the puffy alphabet and all the other cool goodies in this month’s kits. Happy scrapping!
