Tn Tuesday – Christine’s Book Club sketch

Hi everyone, Evy here again with Kristine and Ohdessa for a new TN Tuesday!

Today’s topic? Christine’s September sketch! I don’t know if you know it but every month with the Travelers Notebook Kit there is a fantastic sketch made by Christine, a way to try a new layout and go wild with personal interpretations! Yes, even with the sketch, the project will change according to your style and today you will see how 3 different people, following the same sketch, get completely different results.

I leave the word to Kristine who will explain how her layout was born!

I love the simplicity of the sketch this month,so I stuck to it pretty consistenly except for the photo.I went to a baby shower yesterday and I wanted to use more than one picture in this layout, so I printed them small and arranged them in a square to mimic the original design, backing each one in green paper to pick up the green on the left side.I added my journaling to the layered tags, and finished the whole thing off with some twine, washi, and the date stamp. This was quick and easy to do!

Beautiful, simple but of great impact, I love this interpretation of the sketch and I love Kristine’s writing, don’t you?

And now the word to Ohdessa and her wonderful pages!

I was really inspired by this sketch. I used a plain kraft tag from the Memory Keeping Classified Kit and covered it with little tags to journal on.I used the beautiful floral washi from the Traveler’s Notebook kit and used the colours from it to inspire the embellishment colours on my page. The stamp on the bottom is a little strip of numbers from the Memory Keeping Pocket stamp set that I layered over itself a bunch to both follow the sketch and add some weight to the bottom of my page since it was so top heavy.

I love the little details of this layout, I can’t stop watching it!

This sketch inspired me to try 2 different things, 2 layouts with different colors from my usual style.

Here I used a fairly large photo, I added the title and the journaling tag. Instead of the washi strip I preferred to stamp a phrase repeated along the edge.

I’ve only added 3 diecuts and that’s it!

And here’s the fun part, my second layout, completely different from the first. I wanted to do 2 projects to show you how different layouts always come out with the same sketch!

So I kept photos, title and journaling tag but I used a paper torn by hand as a border and background, I stamped the date and added a wooden decoration part of the Classified Memory keeping kit.

At the last minute I decided to add some mushrooms stamped and cut by hand!

? Sorry for the long post, it is a topic that fascinates me so much and I hope you enjoy the sketches as much as I do.

Kristine, Ohdessa and I hope to have given you interesting ideas to use sketches according to your style! And look for the September sketch challenge announcement this week with Christine’s Book Club sketch.

Be Creative,

Kisses,Evy.
