Hey, memory keepers! Today I’m sharing with you my layout using Christine’s sketch for this month, including some tips on how I used the t-square from the TN Memory Keeping kit to help put it together. The subject matter of my layout isn’t at all fun, but I am happy with how pretty the spread turned out, and having this pretty spread helps takes the sting away from that repair bill (just a little bit, haha!).
I first laid down a few strips of paper on the right side of the spread, then I used the t-square to locate my photo on the left side. It was so easy to place it perfectly horizontally!
Once the photo was in place, I used the t-square up above it to place my title letters. Tweezers are a great tool for placing delicate or small items like these letters, and the t-square made it super simple to get all the letters even. No measuring or guidelines required!
Underneath the photo, I used the t-square to draw lines for journaling, since the page I chose in my simple dori doesn’t have a grid or dots. I didn’t measure between the lines; I just eyeballed it as I moved the t-square down the page. Light pencil lines provide an easy framework for my journaling.
A simple die cut finished off the photo, and a couple of leaves and two circle die cuts layered on top of each other finished off the right side.
And here it is again, the finished layout. The t-square made this project come together ridiculously quickly, and I love all the bright colors and patterns!
Thanks for stopping by today! How are you using the t-square from this month’s kit? Drop me a line in the comments – I’d love to hear some good ideas! Join me in the Memory Keeping with Cocoa Daisy Facebook group, and follow me on Instagram for more inspiration.
Until next time!

Great take on the sketch! Sorry to see about the incident and financial burden.
