TN Tuesday: Creating Pockets In Your TN

Hi Daisies!!  Hope you are all doing great!  Welcome to TN Tuesday!  Today I’m sharing with you a layout that is dear to me.  Last month, I had the opportunity to work as a workshop teacher for a big brand.  Exciting times!  Of course, I wanted to document that moment into my TN.

First of all, I just love the patterned paper inside our Cocoa Daisy TN.  It is so beautiful by itself, we don’t really need to do much.  I also especially loved these tall alpha stickers.  They are just so gorgeous for the title.  The graph paper of the TN helped to ensure that the spaces in between the letters are just right.

I had a lot of photos I wanted to use for this layout but I didn’t want to make multiple layouts so the solution was to create a pocket that would hold the rest of my photos.

I created this simple pocket by folding a strip of paper in half and then I punched holes on the sides using an awl.  You can just poke the holes in any way that you want but I decided to use my WRMK journal binding tool guide to punch the holes in so that it is uniform.  I then sewed a piece of string around the holes.

There are other ways to seal the sides of this DIY pocket.  You can seal it with washi tape or even just staple wires.  It’s super easy.   You can also use pockets to store tickets, brochures and other kinds of ephemera.  The possibilities are just endless!

I put my extra photos inside my DIY pocket along with a short piece of journaling to commemorate the special event.

Hope I inspired you to create your own pockets inside your TN.  Thank you for passing by the blog.

Ria
