On the blog today we are exploring tags and tabs with Korrie-ann and Ria. Korrie-ann is a brand new member of the Cocoa Daisy Memory Keeping Design Team and so she will be giving us a little peek into her life in Scotland.
“Hello , I’m Korrieann and I live in a little town in Scotland. We are surrounded by countryside and hidden away within the countryside is a lovely little shop. The House of Farnell only opens twice a year for Easter and Christmas. We always have to visit each year and I just had to document it.
“My layout was created using the Nordic Woods kits. I started with the little strips down the side which was the leftovers from making my covers which I had glued down before even deciding what else I wanted to use. I then had a look through the diecuts and picked out a variety of different pieces. Next, I added the photo near the bottom of the page And balanced my page out with a cluster at the top left side using the tag as a base.
On the left page I loved how the green background complemented my photo but I still needed an area to journal so I used one of the pages from the notepad that came in the planner kit and placed it under my photo. Then I decided it needed something else so I chose a tab from the planner kit, cut it in half and attached them to each of my photos.”
We love Korrie-ann’s sweet and simple design and are pleased to welcome her to the design team!
Next, Ria is sharing a couple of cute tags she created with the Memphis Season kits.
“I haven’t made a tag for the longest time so I was so psyched to create these. The only thing that’s missing is string, twine or ribbon for the top. Seriously, this is making me want to run to the store and buy string and ribbons in different colors! 🙂
These vellum leaf die cuts were my faves from the Memphis Season kit. They looked so delicate and light. I found that they were easy to adhere with the use of a glue stick. This Thanksgiving themed tag was so easy to do because it was a coincidence that all the embellishments I chose were in green. I let the ephemera hang from the side a bit for some style.
The vellum leaves also came in a gold color that matched the vellum sheet in the Classified Planner kit.”
Ria’s tags are absolutely adorable! They can be used in a memory keeping design of almost any size as well as your planners. Tags and tabs are great design accents and place markers as well as a way to add some hidden journaling or secret shopping lists in your planner or memory keeping documentation.
Have a wonderful day!
