Happy Friday!
We are in a colorful mood today which goes perfectly with the gorgeous project life designs that Odessa and Jil have created for us. Prepare to be wowed! Let’s begin with Jil’s layout using 3×4 pockets.
“I’m new to the 3×3 pockets, but I thought documenting my daily challenges in September and October would be a good way to try out this size.”
“The numbers in the Nordic Woods kit were perfect for my project, and for my last few photos I used the circle labels, stamping the numbers with the Cocoa Daisy stamps from an earlier kit.”
“The design is just slightly different on the two pages, which are back-to-back in my album. I used a tab from the kit and labeled one side September and the other October. The page is an insert placed between the two months.”
“The circle numbers from the sticker kit are ideal for this kind of documenting. These are from Memphis Season. The die cuts and chipboard are from Nordic Woods, and the journaling cards from present and past kits.”
I love the way Jil showed us the versatility of Nordic Woods and ways to incorporate items from past kits. The 3×3 pocket page was a perfect choice to showcase Jil’s artwork from two very different challenges in her project life album!
Next we have Odessa who is sharing some fun things about herself along with her project life pages for November.
“Pocket pages are my memory keeping fav, but I’ve gotten a little behind this year. The Nordic Woods Collection inspired me to give a monthly spread for November a try and it turned out so great I’m going to go back and do all the other months!
Nordic Woods came at a perfect time. In Canada, Thanksgiving is at the beginning of October so after Halloween nothing stands between me and Christmas!!! It’s also really cold and snowy where I live starting in the fall (I just learned I live in the coldest major city in Canada and I don’t know how I feel about that) so all the wintery stuff is perfect!
I used lots of the blues from the kits with a few pops of accent colours here and there in my pocket pages.”
“I had a little fun with this donut pic. I love alpha stickers and I used them throughout my page almost as headlines for the photos. I also wrote in the type of donut they were. So fun!”
“Another alpha sticker pocket – I find a big alpha sticker placement like this turns a photo into a hybrid photo/journal card. The card to the left of it was perfect for jotting down some November highlights. I added some snowflake stickers from the Classified Memory Keeping Kit to jazz it up a bit.”
“The glitter boarder sticker was perfect for adding just a touch more to this pic of my boys! And that Let it Snow card is so fun! I love bold word elements!”
“I can’t wait to work on more layouts with Nordic Woods. It’s such a perfect kit for this time of year up here!!!!!”
What a beautiful walk through the Nordic Woods memory keeping kits! And a lovely peek into the lives of these talented designers.
Wishing you an awesome weekend!
