If you’ve been in the scrapbooking world long, you might recognize our Memory Keeping Guest Designer, Paige Tayor Evans!
Here’s brief introduction from Paige:
My name is Paige Evans and I have been scrapbooking since I was 16 years old when I got my very first job at a little local scrapbook store in Redmond, Washington. So I’ve been scrapbooking over 20 years now and love it as much today as I did back then! I have 12 signature scrapbooking collections with American Crafts with a 13th in the works. I love teaching in-person and virtual classes, showing how to create colorful and unique layouts & projects as well as coptic bookbinding courses. I live in the suburbs of Denver with my husband of 14 years (he’s my very own Captain America – his name is Chris Evans 😉 our son Fox, daughter Jane, as well as a menagerie of pets – we have a dog, cat, and bunny named Joey, Rachel, and Phoebe – we love the show FRIENDS! I love to create something every day whether it’s a layout, card, mini album, coptic book, or even a Lego! Creating brings me so much joy and helps relieve stress. Happy scrapping!
Paige created two projects for us using the Peach Ridge collection and both are darling!
Up first, let’s take a look at August, Paige Taylor Evans:
To create this layout, I hand cut a heart from white cardstock and then used it as a template to trace and cut out 9 hearts from the pretty patterned papers as well as 1 photo. To add texture and interest to the hearts I machine stitched around them with white thread and then I arranged the hearts on a cream textured cardstock background in rows of 3, 4, and 3. For another element of interest I splashed watered down white acrylic paint across the page. I made the title “AUGUST” with the wood veneer piece on the top center heart. For embellishing, I mainly stuck with a tone-on-tone theme and added blue pieces to the blue heart, peach pieces to the peach heart, so on and so forth until the layout felt complete!
