I’ve been working hard to keep up with my 2018 pocket page album – so far so good! I like to get my pictures printed every week when I go grocery shopping which really helps. I’ve been doing a spread per week and here is my latest one! I used all of the February Memory Keeping Kits to put this layout together and filmed a hyperlapse of the process.
I really liked working with the kits – the colours are really fun and rich and they are full of great embellishments. I was saving the shamrock journal card for Shamrock Shake time and it finally came! I added some cute embellishments from the kits – I love using circular elements on the edge of a curved shape.
This week was full of a lot of random things which were hard to tie together. I decided to use colour and repetitive elements to tie things together. The blue alphas repeated throughout the page and various blue, green and yellow embellishments along with some word strips. Choosing colours and repeated elements and sticking with them can really help pull together pictures. This week had messages, tweets, selfies, pictures printed from my Sprocket, pictures from movies and some regular pictures so it was a bit of a challenge!
I think my most used kit item is the Today pad from the memory keeping kit! You just need to trim the paper down a bit to fit perfectly in a 3×4 pocket and it has space for the date, a bunch of journaling and fun things to check off. I used it again on this layout to get some more words in.
